I never thought I was smart enough to go to college until I realized how much I really wanted to be a nurse. 当时, I was a 30-year-old going back to school 和 making a career change from real estate to nursing. I couldn't have been more terrified 和 excited at the same time.

Herzing set high, but realistic, expectations. Time management is what really helped me get through some of the craziest times of school. My classmates also helped me overcome the challenges of earning my degree. From the study sessions to the long clinical hours, we were there for each other through the tough times 和 celebrated our achievements together. We have all supported each other in some way through this journey.
My advice for others is to put yourself first. You will absolutely know who is supporting you 100 percent when you haven't seen your friends or family in two weeks because the only extra time you have is spent studying, 睡觉或工作. Get a calendar 和 write everything down 和 take it one day at a time. Relax 和 know you WILL get through this!
